Return to work interventions

All interventions should be aimed at expediting a return to work with both the employee and employer’s best interests at the centre of the process. Whether the intervention is Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, counselling, CBT or a self management programme it will be delivered by an accredited specialist in our national clinical network or through one of our trusted service delivery partners.

Interventions are triggered following a management referral by recommendations in a referral report. If a recommendation is made the decision to refer an employee for rehabilitation or return to work interventions are made by the assigned case manager in partnership with the employee and line manager. The cases manager will always discuss the type of intervention suggested with the employee, guaranteeing they understand the need for the intervention and the desired outcome. Management where possible will be provided with clear goals for the intervention and timescales set to achieve these goals.

All practitioners will work to the best evidence based standards and processes, guaranteed by quality assurance and KPI monitoring to be conducted by the account team ensuring the highest standards are maintained.

Key Functions for intervention:
  • Stress, depression or bereavement Management
  • Musculoskeletal Treatment and Rehabilitation
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Self management programmes

Where possible services will be offered onsite as the preferred option, but will also be available to employees in their home or at a local clinic.
